SUWECO STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF TABLAS SOLAR POWER PLANT

SUWECO Tablas Energy Corporation has started the construction of its Php 545 million Solar Power Plant in Odiongan, Tablas Island, Romblon.

The 7.5 MWp Solar Power Plant Project is expected to be the first phase of a total of 18MW Power Plant which will be implemented over the next 15 years.

In the first year of its operations, the power plant is expected to generate about 11 million kWh.

“The Solar Plant Project will supply clean energy to the national electricity system and cater to the power demand in the whole country, in general, and particularly in Odiongan, Tablas.“ Robert C. Uy, Chief Operating Officer of SUWECO said in a statement.

Aside from this Solar Power Plant, SUWECO also operates Hydro and Diesel Power Plants in the different strategic areas in the Philippines such as Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Antique.
